2:45 Implementing Encore at UNLV (Kristen Costello, University of Nevada, Las Vegas)

This session is a description of one academic library's journey with Encore from purchasing to implementation.  I will describe some of the bumps along the way as well as the surprises and excitement of the new releases.  The implementation of Encore made UNLV re-evaluate WebOPAC labels, scopes and more.  I will also talk about recent patron usability testing as well as a staff survey of Encore and the results.

3:15 Innovative Interfaces Update and Presentation (Betsy Graham, Vice President Product Management, Innovative Interfaces, Inc.)

Encore 4.0 is moving towards general release and the first version of the Encore Reporter is about to reach this status as well. We will discuss these products after a short company update. (Available on CSDirect.)

4:00 Implementing Research Pro (Richard Guajardo, University of Houston, Texas)

The University of Houston implemented Research Pro, a federated search tool, with 30 databases. A mix of general and subject specific databases were selected for our beta implementation of III's hosted service.  We have databases organized by individual colleges on campus (College of Architecture, College of Business, etc.). Patrons can limit their searches as they desire, and they can also save their searches in My Millennium to run again later. Research Pro integrates well with the Encore discovery platform, but is also a stand-alone product.
